Blue Spring Oolong Tea, also known as 'Compassionate Oolong Tea', is a very fine and rare Ti Kuan Yin special grade Tea. It comes from the renowned Tea-growing province of Fujian in China. Producers add blue mallow flowers to this Tea to represent the freshwater spring created by Guan Yin, the Iron Goddess.According to a Mahayana Buddhist tale, Guan Yin disguised herself as a Goat herder and one day passed through a drought-stricken village. The villagers, despite their struggles, offered the goat herder what little water they had left. Their compassion (hence the name of this Oolong Tea) led Guan Yin to reveal her true identity. The Iron Goddess then created a beautiful blue spring as a gift to the Fujian villagers.
